[Planetlab-announce] PlanetLab v4.0 rollout plans

Dear PlanetLab community,

As mentioned earlier, we are preparing for the PlanetLab v4.0 rollout.
 However, the rollout to production nodes will not begin until after
the SOSP deadline has passed (3/19 at 11:59pm EDT).

The nodes at Princeton are already running the v4.0 software, as are
PlanetLab nodes in the Alpha and Beta node groups.  You are encouraged
to test your software on these nodes prior to the upgrade.  Note that
your software will probably need to be recompiled since PlanetLab v4.0
is based on the Fedora Core 4 distribution while the current v3.3 is
based on FC2.  An up-to-date list of nodes running v4.0 can be
obtained through CoMon:
