==================================================
Today I tested and checked in some changes that should fix a number of
the issues with the node install (using the built cd image to install a
node off of the new boot server).
There are also a number of new items:
- Rather than pull the rpms off of the boot server everytime, if the
script is going to be run numerous times, you can setup your own http
server with the rpms, and have the script pull from there. This will be
faster, and won't overload the current boot server. The values in the
config file are: PACKAGE_SOURCE and PACKAGE_SOURCE_RATE_LIMIT
- Most of the email addresses that refer to the real support address
should now be changed up sucessfully running the script. The new default
addresses are now root@<serverhostname>.
From scratch, I was able to run the script to bring up a new PLC, then
use the built boot cd to install a node from that new PLC. One thing
that does remain to be added is the default root key placed on the node
is still the master node root key. To change this, update the file
/planetlab/plc_www/PlanetLabConf/keys.php before installing a node.
I'll try to get the quick start/readme document updated for those that
haven't yet used this. As usual, let me know what problems you find or
any suggestions.
Aaron
