FYI
So far it was known, and documented in the user-doc, that for running
myplc on an fc4 box, you needed to set your selinux level to, at most,
permissive.
I just found that turning SElinux completely OFF - as opposed to ON, but
permissive - is a requirement with fc4 if you plan to run *myplc-devel*
and to rebuild the full monty
The symptoms I've experienced with the permissive policy were
- sudo unable to start, issuing an error message
failed to get default context
the following article suggests the selinux lib might be broken:
http://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-devel-list/2005-September/msg00251.html
- by-passing this by running make as root and removing calls to sudo
results in rpm installations getting half done, most of the scriptlets
failing on the way, preventing the bootcd component to achieve building
I'll write a note in the myplc user-doc to make this clear
Thierry
