[Planetlab-devel] Adding users to slice

I was pointed to the following entry in the PlanetLab development list
(I'm just signing up so I can't reply in the list yet):

verification to the added user that they want to join the slice. 
allows summer interns(ie) to be added and confirmed 

I run a service (Distributed Services Management Toolkit, DSMT,
http://dsmt.org/) which keeps services running in managed slices. It
does this by adding a special user to the slice to be managed.

Are there details on how the mentioned 'verification' works? I currently
add the special user via the API when the PI makes the slice managed.
Do I now have to deal with an email or something?
