Adding backward compatibility for these functions is on my todo list, with the 
possible exception of SliceGetTicket(), which may change.

The old NM API will probably change, as tickets are changing formats. We need to 
flesh this out.

This has obviously slipped. We're trying to get federation and Drupal working in 
this release, and the implementation has been trickier than originally thought. 
We're still trying for January.
