Hi there
I've just upgraded my build infrastructure. So I reinstalled the same
myplc-devel that I had been using for ages (like, since january I
think), but I forgot that, a while back, I had had to uninstall gcc32
rpm -e compat-gcc-32
(which I had done to get rid of an old workaround in the kernel spec file)
Anyway, what I want to report is, this same workaround still seems to be
in effect in the vnet spec file, at least in the planetlab-4_0-rc3 tag,
and the botom line is, with my new build host, and before I manually
removed this gcc32 thing again, I was getting a vnet module that refused
to load with the kernel.
FATAL: Error inserting vnet
(/lib/modules/2.6.12-1.1398_FC4.8.onelab.2007.06.06/extra/vnet.ko):
Invalid module format
I did not check whether this gcc32 thing still comes with more recent
myplc-devel though, so maybe this is a red herring. I would advise to
fix the vnet spec file anyway. "Don't program by coincidence" is one of
my favorite mottos.
My 2 cents -- Thierry
