This is an important point, but in the discussions we were focusing on
how to best implement this new type of node support and discovered what
we decided would be a better way to implement this new system support.
Rather than continue to just apply small bandages to a large wound, we
wanted to actually repair the wound. Also, the more APIs we stack on
top of each other the less efficient the system could become and that
was our worry when we broke off to have our own implementation meeting.
I think we all believe this is a better way and that was our focus.
WRT keeping a private and public interface, I think we agree. We just
want to keep the system as efficient and logical as possible underneath
whatever public interface we do expose as we evolve toward a GENI
prototype.
