[Planetlab-devel] Measuring traffic by interface

On the GENI mesoscale MyPLC installations, we've set up some monitoring
processes to read from /proc/virtual/<vid>/cacct on the nodes, to get a
per-vserver count of traffic (looking at the "INET" line for IPv4
traffic). However, the nodes have two interfaces, one (eth0) for control
traffic, and one (eth1) that's connected to the OpenFlow-controlled layer
2 GENI network. We're running experiments that use eth1, and would like to
generate per-vserver stats on how much bandwidth they're sending and
receiving, separate from anything that's happening on eth0... Anyone have
any ideas on how to do that?
