First... We need to get the disk quotas turned on. Even at high limits
that should stop this problem.

Second... Paul had a process when disks were getting full of shutting
down slices in order. I'll let him describe it. It was particularly
useful for some princeton slice that used the same trick with log files
(sound familiar mike? :-).
