[Planetlab-users] probing for bandwidth measurements

Hi,

 I am trying to measure hop-by-hop bandwidth between PlanetLab nodes
using NCS (http://www.dsd.lbl.gov/OldProjects/NCS/). NCS runs a daemon
based on raw sockets that uses ICMP when probing a node. The program
works fine on my local Linux box. But on PlanetLab nodes, after
probing a couple of destinations, the daemon dies.

 I wonder if the daemon is killed according to a PlanetLab traffic
policy mechanism (??). After all, is there any facility on PlanetLab to
get hop-by-hop bandwidth status between nodes?
