now see that what you want is most likely:

yum install screen   (I think)

http://www.gnu.org/software/screen/

Remember that problems with software (besides the kernel) should go to 
the users list where everyone can benefit and help.  Problems with 
logging into slices, the web interface, abuse, wedged machines, hosts 
behind firewalls, etc., go to support because only they can fix such 
problems.
