[Planetlab-users] Destination Net Unreachable on some nodes

Hi,
I'm a PlanetLab n00b, but I've managed to deploy my app on 25 nodes and its
all working fine, however I've recently noticed some nodes return
"Destination Net Unreachable" when trying to ping well known sites (such as
google.com).

I looked into this further, and the node was able to connect to any site
that was academic such as www.lancs.ac.uk or www.warwick.ac.uk, but was
unable to connect to any other site, google.com abc.com yahoo.com.

So are some nodes set up to only allow packets routed to academic sites?

Here are the nodes I've see this problem on:
planet2.calgary.canet4.nodes.planet-lab.org
planetlab2.atla.internet2.planet-lab.org
planetlab1.kscy.internet2.planet-lab.org

(could it be a internet2 problem?)

Also when I do a traceroute the packets seem to stop at the first hop, which
makes me think it's the site's configuration stopping it.

Thanks
Andrew
