[Planetlab-users] help on squid

hi

I have installed squid on PL node
"planetlab-2.cmcl.cs.cmu.edu" and changed the
configuration file /etc/squid/squid.conf

now I want the new settings to come into effect but on
restarting squid i get the following error:

bash-2.05b# /etc/init.d/squid restart
Stopping squid:                              [FAILED]
Starting squid: ..............               [FAILED]

The changes I made were:
cache_dir to spool
acl src proxyclient 202.141.62.36/2555.255.255.255
http_access allow proxyclient localhost
http_access allow proxyclient
cache_effective_user squid
cache_effective_group squid

has anyone encountered such problems before? any
solutions!
