i believe the essence of the previous post on this topic (by Neil Spring) 
was that the screen command doesn't work in a slice, and that this is due 
to the way /dev/pts is configured in a vserver i.e., there being no 
/dev/pts/0.  given that supporting interactive commands like this is 
pretty low our on priority list it would seem like the best hope for 
getting this to work is to figure out the appropriate changes that are 
required yourself, and we would be happy to apply them.
