Hi all,
We have added two more all-pair measurements to the s-cube deployment
on Planetlab:
(a) Lossrate as measured by the Tulip lossrate tool from Univ. of
Washington, and
(b) Available Bandwidth as measured by the PathChirp tool from Rice
University.
The measurement data and more details on the measurements can be found
at http://networking.hpl.hp.com/s-cube/PL
Please direct any feedback, comments or questions to s-cube AT
hpl.hp.com
Thanks,
S-cube team, HP Labs.

Subject: [Planetlab-users] Announcing all-pair network metrics: latency
andbandwidth
Hello Planetlab users,
As part of the S^3 (http://networking.hpl.hp.com/s-cube) project, we
are currently computing several all-pair network metrics on PlanetLab. A
snapshot of the all-pair capacity and available bandwidth metrics
updated about every 4 hours is available at the following website:
http://networking.hpl.hp.com/s-cube/PL. We also provide estimated
latencies between all planetlab nodes as estimated by Netvigator, a
scalable network proximity and latency estimation tool we have built at
HP Labs. We use Pathrate tool from Georgia Tech to measure bottleneck
capacity of a path and Spruce from MIT to measure available bandwidth on
a path. We plan to add more metrics (e.g., loss rate) in the coming
weeks.
We would greatly appreciate any feedback. You can contact us at s-cube
AT hpl.hp.com
Thanks,
S-cube team, HP Labs.
