The PlanetLab site has a tools page (http://www.planet-lab.org/tools)
that lists various tools for distributing software to your many slivers
and for managing the running application. 

For instance, Stork has a content distribution system to move large
pieces of code to many nodes efficiently (good for the large JRE image).
Appmanager has a good system for tracking running nodes and keeping them
running. Lower level tools like pssh or vxargs are good hand-on tools
for pushing code to many nodes and running your application.

Hi There 

I got a slice and could generate key and login. Now I would like to
install 
some program and execute. Thus I got a question. 

1. I want to install JRE to the remote machince, how do I do that and
what 
is the command? 

2. For doing that I believe I need to upload the executable of JRE to
the 
nodes, how do I upload this executables and later the java files to my 
nodes, can you give me the commands? 

3. My java class is suppose to creat some text file in my nodes. Once my

application will finish execution I need to download the files, please
may I 
know the download command from these nodes? Can it be done
programatically?
