Avoid the hosts that are in debug mode.   You can find the nodes that  
are not in state "Boot" using sites.xml.  (https://www.planet-lab.org/ 
xml/sites.xml).   comon likely gives a nicer interface to the list of  
boot state nodes.

If you still get host identification warnings, it's likely a bug in  
your keys download.  Use:

https://subversion.umiacs.umd.edu/scriptroute/scriptroute/trunk/ 
planetlab/update_known_hosts

which is pretty well tested.
