To whom this may concern;
You may have received an excessive bandwidth message from one of the
Princeton or Alpha nodes saying your slice has transmitted more than 0
bytes and will be throttled to some negative number.
There was a database corruption caused by a file upgrade that did not
properly clean out the old bandwidth totals. These messages are
incorrect and should be ignored. Slices have not been capped and, as
soon as the upgrades complete and the nodes reboot, these messages
should stop. There is no need to respond to the emails.
Sorry for the confusion. Your patience is appreciated during this
upgrade as I'm sure we will stumble upon a few more corner cases while
we continue to test the new software and (finally) begin the roll out.
A full roll out schedule should be posted to the user list soon.
Sincerely,
PlanetLab Operations
