No need to guess - it's pretty simple
a) if you know that there's going to be some short-term bandwidth
need, you can ask support to increase your cap for it and provide
the background info, etc.
b) most of that 3.3 Gbps was on a small set of high-performance
nodes that wanted to run CoBlitz at a high rate. They uncapped
their site limits for that event, and we used that site heavily.
