[Planetlab-users] insmod on PlanetLab 4.2

Hi everyone,

Yes, I'm still trying to get fuse running on PlanetLab. I'm currently
trying this on planetlab1.csail.mit.edu, which is running
linux-2.6.22.19 and therefore I assume is a PlanetLab 4.2 machine. The
PlanetLab 4.2 release notes state "New kernel features (ipv6, fuse,
chopstix, kvm) available for the future", but I cannot find any evidence
of fuse being compiled into the kernel already, so I thought I'd try
building it as a module. However, it seems that slices still don't have
the ability to run "sudo /sbin/insmod". Is there a way to load kernel
modules other than insmod, or when the release notes say something is
"available for the future", is that just a teaser for some upcoming
blockbuster PlanetLab 4.2 sequel (say, 4.3 perhaps)? Thanks,

Jeremy
