Hi, you might also find it useful to try out VINI 
(http://www.vini-veritas.net/), which is essentially an extension to the 
PlanetLab software to support experiments that need to be closer to the 
network (e.g., like evaluating routers and packet forwarding), with 
packet forwarding in the kernel.
