[Planetlab-users] Test if your ISP is blocking BitTorrent traffic

Dear all,

recently there have been reports that some residential ISPs are
blocking BitTorrent. We deployed a tool to detect ISPs blocking
BitTorrent on PlanetLab nodes. You can check whether your ISP is
blocking BitTorrent traffic by running the test from any browser
with Java support.

More detailed information on how the tool works can be found on
the web page.

This is a beta release. So if there are any glitches with running
the tests, please bear with us as we fix them.

You can see preliminary results from an earlier version of the tool
(that ran the tests only to MPI-SWS servers and not to
geographically distributed PlanetLab nodes) at:
